Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

What is Covered
- Major mechanical failures that were not disclosed in the product listing or condition report.
- Significant defects in core engine components that prevent normal basic operation, where covered by the applicable warranty.
- Other faults specifically identified as covered by the warranty applicable to the individual product.
What is NOT Covered by a Voluntary Warranty
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, scratches, fading, corrosion, or surface rust associated with used equipment.
- Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, overheating, lack of maintenance, incorrect operation, or accident.
- Labour costs for removal, installation, diagnosis, or repair unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Electrical components, seals, gaskets, water pumps, impellers, filters, spark plugs, fluids, and other service or consumable items unless specifically covered.
- Damage or faults caused by modifications, dismantling, tuning, or repairs performed without our prior approval.
- Consequential or indirect losses such as towing, lost income, travel expenses, or loss of use, to the extent permitted by law.
Our Testing & Transparency Process
PE Outboards aims to provide transparent information about the condition of every used outboard motor we sell. Where applicable, engines are inspected and tested before sale, and available condition information, photographs, and testing results are provided to customers.

Warranty Claim Process
- Contact us as soon as possible during the applicable warranty period at sales@peoutboards.com.au and provide your invoice or order number, together with photographs and videos of the issue where applicable.
- We may require the outboard motor or relevant component to be returned for inspection. We will advise you of the applicable return arrangements before the item is sent.
- Following inspection, if the issue is covered by the applicable voluntary warranty, we may repair the item, replace the faulty component, provide a replacement, or offer another appropriate remedy.
Customer Responsibilities
- Verify compatibility and suitability before purchasing an outboard motor.
- Have the outboard motor professionally inspected and installed by a suitably qualified marine technician.
- Follow the manufacturer's installation, operation, servicing, and maintenance requirements.
- Stop operating the outboard if continued operation could cause further damage.
- Provide proof of purchase and reasonable information required to assess a warranty claim.
Extended Warranty Options
Extended warranty options may be available on selected outboard motors. Availability, duration, coverage, and any additional cost will be confirmed at the time of purchase.
